  1. Prepare 1/4 cabbage
  2. Prepare 1/2 smoked sausage

In a large deep skillet or wok, heat up the oil on medium-low heat and add the diced potatoes. Season the potatoes with the salt. Layer cabbage, sausage, and potatoes and balance of butter and margarine in the pan. Season with pepper and seasoned salt.

Add cabbage, butter and water to bacon grease and cook until tender. (Stir occasionally to coat all of the cabbage with bacon grease). Stop cooking when the cabbage is still a bit crunchy. Add the cabbage shreds along with the diced potatoes and the fennel seeds, caraway seeds and red pepper flakes (optional), Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Add the chicken stock and vinegar.
