Ingredients and seasonings used in make
  1. Use 1 . Prawns - 500gm
  2. Take 2 . Basmathi- 1 cup
  3. Take 3 . Bay leaf - 1
  4. Take 4 . Cinnamon - 1 inch
  5. Take 5 . Cardamom - 1
  6. Prepare 6 . Onion - 1 cup thinly sliced
  7. Use 7 . Tomato - 1 cup thinly sliced
  8. Prepare 8 . Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  9. Take 9 . Green chilli - 1 slitted
  10. Take 10 . Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  11. Take 11 . Garam masala - 1 tsp
  12. Prepare 12 . Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  13. Use 13 . Mint - 1/4 cup chopped
  14. Take 14 . Coriander - 1/4 cup chopped
  15. Prepare 15 . Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  16. Prepare 16 . Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
  17. Prepare 17 . Ghee - 3 tbsp

Add the basmati rice and mix well. Add the water and close the pressure cooker, when the steams comes out vigorously put on the whistle. Wait till the pressure subsides naturally and then open the pressure cooker. Prawn biryani is also known as Shrimp biryani or Jhinga biryani.

How to cook Prawn Biryani (Pressure Cooker):
    1. Clean the prawn wash thoroughly and keep aside. Drain the water completely add little turmeric, chilli powder, ginger garlic and lemon juice. Marinate this for 1 hr in fridge. 2. Wash the basmathi rice soak for 20 min. 3. Heat pressure cooker add ghee. Once this melted add cinnamon, bay leaf and cardamom.
    1. Now add onions and saute well. Add ginger garlic paste and stilted green chilli. 5. Saute till the raw smells goes off. 6. Now add the chopped tomatoes and cook it turns mushy. Add salt.
    1. Add the red chilli powder, garam masala to this. Stir well cook the oil layer forms on the top. 8. Add the chopped mint and coriander. Mix nicely. 9. Now add the marinated prawns to this. Stir it. Don't add any water in this stage.
    1. Close and cook for 5 min. Now add 1 cup of water and coconut milk. 11. When it starts boiling add the rice to this. Check the salt. 12. Close with the lid and cook till rice done. 13. After the whistle release open and mix gently. Top up with some ghee and serve hot with raitha.
