In a medium size bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat, pour into a mixing bowl and let it cool slightly. Place the bananas in a medium or large bowl and mash using a fork or potato masher.
